Located inside the historic Baxter Hotel on Main Street, we welcome you to stop by our cozy neighborhood pub. Pick from any one of our 24 rotating beers on tap or sip on one of our classic cocktails as you catch up with friends, new and old.

Baxter has owned the space since 1929, but it was not called "The Bacchus" until the 1960s. Since then, it has operated as the Bacchus Pub, with the exception of a brief time when the space housed a Mexican restaurant.

As Bozeman’s first and only historic pub, we at the Bacchus are pleased to carry this welcoming spirit with us today. As you walk through our doors, we invite you to take a look around and step into Bozeman’s past.

Although the premises of the Bacchus originally opened as the Baxter Coffee House and the iconic name change came in the 1960s, the space itself remains largely unchanged.

Stopped by this historic pub for a quick bite. The tomato and meatball soup was pretty tasty. The side of garlic bread was tasteless so I don't recommend it. The server picked out an IPA for me and her choice was "going in the sun". It was a hazy ale and frosty good! The pub itself is in an historic hotel and is gorgeous! Very nice dining experience!

In town for the night and stumbled into Bacchus Pub. It’s a cozy friendly place. It was trivia night so it was fun trying to play along. Friendly staff and good service. We had a few cocktails that were good. My husband had the shepherd’s pie and I had the beef stew, both were delicious.

The curry fries were so very good!! Crispy fries and tasty curry sauce that had just the perfect level of kick! The Reuben sandwich was very good too. Fast and friendly service. Super cool esthetic. Unfamiliar with Bozeman and only street parking that we could find easily; we got lucky and found a spot to park parallel on the street.
