Located inside the historic Baxter Hotel on Main Street, we welcome you to stop by our cozy neighborhood pub. Pick from any one of our 24 rotating beers on tap or sip on one of our classic cocktails as you catch up with friends, new and old.

Baxter has owned the space since 1929, but it was not called "The Bacchus" until the 1960s. Since then, it has operated as the Bacchus Pub, with the exception of a brief time when the space housed a Mexican restaurant.

As Bozeman’s first and only historic pub, we at the Bacchus are pleased to carry this welcoming spirit with us today. As you walk through our doors, we invite you to take a look around and step into Bozeman’s past.

Although the premises of the Bacchus originally opened as the Baxter Coffee House and the iconic name change came in the 1960s, the space itself remains largely unchanged.

This is a fun, old-style pub that we stopped at for lunch during a bachelor party trip to Bozeman. We did not have a reservation but had no problem getting a table for 9 in the afternoon on a Friday. The food and drink options were good and plentiful, many people struggled to choose what to eat because everything sounded so good. I ordered the fish and chips, and my buddy I was with ordered the fried chicken. We each shared a piece, and both enjoyed the food. It held up well for the price. The Curry Fries were a stand out, they were amazing. No pictures were taken because they were gone in an instant. I asked for additional curry sauce for my entree, and they brought it with no problem. Fun, cool looking pub. Server was friendly and helpful. Really nice atmosphere if you're into old timey largely wooden pubs.
