Join us for a fun round of Sporting Clays at the Gallatin Sporting Clays range North of Logan, Montana. Sporting Clays is similar to Trap and Skeet; however, the clay targets are presented in a way to simulate the hunting of upland birds and waterfowl. Just like no two golf courses are alike, you’ll find the same variety in with sporting clays. Our two clay courses and three 5-stands are nestled against the Horseshoe Hills with views of the Tobacco Root Mountains and the Headwaters of the Missouri River.
· We are open for public shooting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm and Saturdays 10-2pm starting in April and running through the end of September. Please arrive and check in at the clubhouse with enough time to finish your round before closing. Please note we accept cash or checks only.
· Non-members are welcome to come shoot a round of clays during public shooting hours – no reservations are needed, although a heads-up for larger groups is appreciated. Not traveling with your shotgun? We have both 12- and 20-gauge shotgun rentals available as well as ammunition for sale.
· New to shotgun sports? We can arrange shooting lessons for those who are new to clay shooting or for intermediate shooters who would like to brush up on their skills. Instructors are certified by the National Sporting Clays Association and can get you breaking clay targets. Please give us a call or email info@gallatinclays.org for more information and to book a lesson (at least 48 hours notice required).
· Interested in arranging a group shoot, family reunion or bachelor/bachelorette party activity? We can accommodate large groups of experienced and novice shooters alike as well as host corporate events and fundraisers. Please email info@gallatinclays.org for more information.

Working with a shooting instructor is a fabulous way to improve your shooting abilities and is recommended for all new shooters who do not have an experienced shooting mentor to work with them. Instructors typically offer a 2-3 hour session of shotgun instruction. Instructors typically limit these sessions to four students. The costs for the instructor’s fee, targets and ammo typically average around $150 per person for groups of three or more. Additional instructors can be scheduled for larger groups. These costs are based on non-member target rates and are less for GSC members. You are welcome to contact local instructors listed below directly, or email us at info@gallatinclays.org and we can help arrange something for you and your group.
