We recently visited the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center with our three grandkids (ages 12, 13, and 6), and it was a fantastic experience for all of us! The exhibits are incredibly well done, and we loved how educational and engaging everything was. The kids were fascinated watching the bears forage and play, and seeing the wolves up close was such a rare and memorable treat. One of the highlights for all of us was watching the otters swim and play—so full of energy and personality! We could’ve stood there for hours just enjoying their antics. We appreciated that the animals here are all rescues and that the Center focuses on conservation and education—it made the visit feel meaningful as well as fun. The whole place is thoughtfully designed, clean, and easy to navigate. We also enjoyed the birds of prey exhibit and hearing the call of the bald eagle—what a powerful moment! This is a must-stop if you’re anywhere near West Yellowstone. We all left with smiles on our faces and new things to talk about. Highly recommend for families with kids of any age!

Whether you’re snapping up-close photos of majestic grizzly bears, watching wolves roam through their habitat, or admiring the powerful grace of eagles, there’s something awe-inspiring around every corner. And don’t even get me started on the otters — they’re playful, adorable, and absolutely steal the show! The staff here are incredibly friendly and passionate about wildlife. They’re more than happy to answer questions and share fascinating facts about each animal, their natural habitats, and the ongoing efforts to protect them. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the importance of conservation — especially for kids. There’s nothing quite like seeing these animals up close to spark curiosity and a love for nature. The habitats are thoughtfully designed and well maintained, giving the animals space and enrichment while also offering excellent viewing areas for visitors. You can really tell the animals are well cared for, healthy, and thriving — which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Whether you’re a budding wildlife photographer, a family looking for a meaningful outing, or just someone who loves animals, this park offers a unique, memorable way to connect with nature. Great place to see Bears and Wolves! Also, otters and birds of prey. Plus, the ravens who love hanging out waiting to snatch up some leftover bear food! Nice staff who give you informational talks in front of the bears on their individual stories why they are there ! The wolves are beautiful ! We heard them howling one evening ! All the animals look very happy and well fed!

This place is small but really cool. All the animals are rescued, which felt pretty cool to witness. Their stories were interesting. Your ticket is good for 2 days so you can come and go. Then you can check out the pre-printed schedule for the bear rotations - only 1 to 2 bears at a time. Everything was clean and the animals were obviously well cared for. Worth a visit and supporting their mission for sure!

What a cool/safe way to see Grizzlies, wolves, otters, bald eagles and other birds of prey! After a week in Yellowstone, we were lucky enough to see some amazing animals. Seeing them in the wild and then coming here and learning about the animals on-site was really great! Even down to the ground squirrels. The facility is clean and well run with lots of opportunities to see the animals on various levels. The educational side was wonderful and the docents have great information to share!
