One of the best weeks ever! Not only is the ranch located in an absolutely stunning part of Montana, but the staff was so friendly, kind and helpful. And this goes beyond just public interaction, you could tell by the way the horses behaved and engaged with our group that they are well raised and cared for on the ranch. If you don't have horses of your own, or if you do not have the regular opportunity to ride outside of an arena then spending a few day at Nine Quarter Circle will do wonders for your riding confidence and skill set. Oh and I should also mention the food was fantastic. For one, you will be really hungry when you are spending 4 or so hours riding daily, and two given the remote location of the ranch you are dependent on what the kitchen can serve. They happily accommodated dietary restrictions and preferences and everything was made from scratch and delicious. Just an all around great place to get away from the world for a bit, and I can't wait to return next fall!

There are not really words to describe how rejuvenating, beautiful, and well-run Nine Quarter Circle Ranch is. It is a family-owned (now in its third generation and raising the fourth generation!) and family-oriented ranch where over 100 Appaloosa horses are bred, raised, trained, and taken care of for life. I've just returned from my second trip and will go back every year for as long as I can. On the dining room walls are displays of coins indicating families who have been coming to the ranch for 5, 10, 20, and even 50 years. The chef, kitchen and dining room staff, and their hearty and healthy food are beyond compare. I've known a great many horses and these horses are fabulously strong, easy-going, and absolutely reliable, making it easy to travel on trails where around every corner is a view that cannot be adequately captured with a photo. The head wranglers lead wrangler staff members who are super skilled, super helpful, and truly enjoyable to ride with. Of course, the owners and office manager make it all happen, and they are always there to assist, from helping you start a fire in your cabin's wood stove to answering any small concern you might have as a guest. Most importantly, being on the ranch reassures me that this real American countryside of high mountains and lush green river valleys is still here and thriving. Words are not adequate to describe how much my visits to Nine Quarter Circle restore my heart and soul and strengthen me for the year ahead, until I can come back!

This is a very special ranch with the most well taken care of horses, beautiful scenery and perfect accommodations. I highly recommend this place to anyone whom is looking for the ideal horse and nature experience. The wranglers were great with the rides they chose. We never did the same ride twice! My horse Rocker was the perfect fit for me.
I look forward to returning next year!

This is a real working ranch offering a glimpse of life into authentic wranglers, cowboys and cowgirls. Very cool experience. The food was excellent, and every meal was different. My horse was well trained and super sweet. Tons of fun fishing, riding, making new friends, campfires, hiking, and absorbing the Montana scenery! Friendly, helpful staff and would definitely go back!
