Nine Quarter Circle Ranch

My kids and I just visited the ranch in July. What a great experience. We chose Nine Quarter Circle Ranch due to the number of riding options offered for different ages/skill levels. I loved that my rides were tailored to my riding level. My kids all have riding experience as well, and they got to do way more than walk which was so fun for them. The staff/owners are INCREDIBLE. The food was delicious. I loved that my kids had the freedom to explore the premises safely with other kids; very few other trips are structured this way. There were a lot of flies our week. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at the ranch.

We had a wonderful experience at Nine Quarter Circle Ranch. The horses are very well trained and gentle. Riders were well matched to their horses to ensure the best experience based on riding abilities. The accommodation was newly renovated and was just the right balance of simplicity and comfort. The food was amazing. We went on the overnight pack ride which was a unique experience with breathtaking scenery. The staff wether wranglers, kitchen, housekeeping were super nice and always willing to help. Our kids are older but we noticed that the kids program is amazing for younger kids with extensive hours so parents can really enjoy the riding. One of the things that stand out is how they make an effort to help guests mingle with changing seating, happy hour and games/activities which was a lot of fun. We highly recommend this ranch !

Nine Quarter Circle Ranch was fantastic!. The Rough Riders program for kids six to nine was terrific. The kids had a great experience learning about and riding their assigned horses and had freedom to play amongst themselves, away from the parents. The adults also had plenty to do with horse riding options, as well as fly fishing for trout. The cabins were well constructed and the scenery and location were wonderful. The three daily meals were delicious and varied. The entire Kelsey family is involved in the operation and they do a marvelous job. I would definitely recommend Nine Quarter Circle Ranch to anyone interested in a memorable vacation in the great American West!

Unexpectedly Magical! I wasn’t sure what to expect from a dude ranch trip. I’ve always loved horses but had little experience riding. Turns out, it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever taken. The staff at Nine Quarter Circle Ranch were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everything was so well organized. The horseback riding was the highlight, I went from total beginner to confidently riding through breathtaking Montana trails. The scenery is unreal, the cabins are rustic and cozy, and the unplugged atmosphere gave me a much-needed reset. Everyone felt like family by the end of the week. If you’re on the fence, go. This place is pure magic.

When planning our family celebration trip, we researched alot of ranches and found that 9 Quarter Circle Ranch met all our needs while still being affordable. The location is amazingly beautiful, close to the Bozeman airport and the western entrance to Yellowstone. The ranch has amazing views and offers an authentic western experience. Nothing fancy. Just comfortable cabins, great hospitality, delicious food and enough to do between riding, fishing and hiking, that you feel engaged but not over-scheduled. Of course, one can always relax on the vast front porch of the lodge with a comfortable chair, a good book and a refreshing breeze. We had 3 grandchildren in babysitting which was a key feature. The parents enjoyed their time, the kids had a blast and the sitters could not have been nicer. They truly enjoy the children and are so kind and patient. We loved the riding, fishing, softball game and square dance. It was great to meet all the other families. The ranch did a nice job of "mixing it up" at dinner and happy hour, so that you got time to get to know one another. The staff is welcoming, friendly and fun, which includes the owners, who are so lovely, accessible and attentive. They share their home with you as if you're family. We loved our visit and hope to return in the future!
