The Gallatin Valley TBID offers organizations in Bozeman, Belgrade, and Three Forks the opportunity to apply for grants to help seed new events that attract visitors to the area. Their goal is to help provide financial resources to offset startup costs that come with putting the event on. Past grant recipients include youth sports tournaments, concerts, festivals, and business conferences. Who is Visit Bozeman?
Visit Bozeman's mission is to promote sustainable tourism to the Gallatin Valley that helps create economic opportunities for business in Bozeman and the surrounding communities, strengthening the overall economy of the Gallatin Valley. Efforts through Visit Bozeman also support local events, sports tournaments, concerts, and business conferences in the form of grants through the Gallatin Valley Tourism Improvement District (GVTBID). Visit Bozeman partners with the State of Montana, Yellowstone Country, the Bozeman/Yellowstone International Airport, the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce and many other businesses and organizations to attract visitors to our area. Visit Bozeman is primarily comprised of two organizations, the Bozeman Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Gallatin Valley Tourism Improvement District.

Mission Statement
The Gallatin Valley Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) supports projects aimed at tourism development, marketing, advertising, and promotion of Bozeman, Belgrade, and Three Forks. The Tourism Development Fund may support projects focused on, but not limited to, convention, education, conference, recreational, entertainment and other types of destination events, along with capital improvement, that will generate room nights for lodging facilities.
Montana Tourism Development Fund
According to the Montana Code Annotated (7-12-1131), the funds can be used to “aid in tourism, promotion, and marketing within the district.” The actual petition stipulates that funds would be invested as follows:
- Create a Tourism Development Fund that supports projects aimed at tourism development, promotion, and marketing of the Gallatin Valley, specifically Bozeman, Belgrade, Three Forks and the surrounding areas.
- The Tourism Development Fund may provide financial support to marketing projects that are focused on, but not limited to, convention, education, conference, recreational, entertainment, and other types of destination events in Bozeman, Belgrade, and Three Forks that will benefit small, medium, and large hotels.
